Exterior Restoration of Terra Cotta and Masonry Facades
Services include assessment, inspection, and all phases of repair. McGuire Igleski & Associates, Inc. was the Architect of Record for the comprehensive repair of the building envelope for Chicago Public Schools. Scope included brick, limestone and terra cotta restoration, repointing, masonry cleaning, roof and window replacement, parapet rebuilding, and interior repairs.
Designed by Paul Gerhardt, the 220,000 SF building was constructed in 1929-30 and is ornamented with elaborate terra cotta panels.
