Chicago Public Schools tasked McGuire Igleski with designing accessibility upgrades at 10 schools in their portfolio to improve access for both their students and staff as well as the public, as these schools serve as polling places during elections. The renovation work focused on improving the accessible path from the parking lot into the schools and included parking lot repairs, installation of new sidewalks and ramps and main entrance door upgrades. On the interior improvements were made in the corridors, updates were made to the main offices and extensive restroom renovations included new ADA compliant boys, girls and single-user restrooms.
