London Hainsworth

London is a historic preservation specialist at McGuire Igleski & Associates specializing in architectural history, community resiliency, and building diagnostics. Utilizing a core belief that buildings act as vessels for a community’s collective memory, London often works with small community groups, rural municipalities, and historical societies to find and exhibit stories from the past to promote architectural preservation.

London’s work at MIA has included rural structures surveys, documentation of threatened historic buildings, nominations for local and national landmarking of historic buildings, and more.

In her free time, London enjoys exploring Chicago by bike, camping throughout the Upper Midwest, and volunteering with the Forest Preserves of Cook County. She and her husband have two rambunctious orange cats and big families in Missouri and out west.
