Preservation Consulting for Mixed Use Facility Incorporating Former Town Hall Police Station

MIA consulted to Gensler for the restoration of the Town Hall Police Station adapted as part of the Town Hall Apartments, a mixed use facility for LGBTQ Seniors, developed by Heartland Housing and the Center on Halsted. The former stationhouse containing the Center on Addison was restored and key interior features preserved. It is listed on the National register and is noteworthy as one of Chicago’s earliest and architecturally significant remaining stations.

The Town Hall Apartments received Chicago’s 2015 Preservation Excellence Award for Restoration/New Construction.
