Modern Atrium and Bridge Wood Window Wall Replacement
Built in 1985 and designed by Holabird and Root, University of Chicago’s Kersten Physics Teaching Center has four floors and features a modern three-story central atrium spine illuminated by a full height steel and wood window wall that continues over 57th Street with a bridge. MIA has been retained to design a replacement for the deteriorated wood system that respects the award winning architectural design.
