Anne McGuire, AIA, LEED AP
Anne is the principal in charge of project administration and, prior to forming MIA, was a sole proprietor for 15 years. For private and public clients, Anne provides a full range of architectural services with her survey, assessment, restoration and rehabilitation expertise. Her extensive experience in existing conditions analysis and her comprehensive understanding of complex material repair issues, guides restoration projects to successful completion. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Anne implements energy and environmental design principals, consonant with the inherent sustainable values of historic preservation.

Mark Igleski, AIA
Mark is the principal in charge of projects and office production, with more than 25 years of experience in providing a full range of architectural and historic preservation services. He has extensive experience in façade evaluations, conditions analysis and building rehabilitation, and supervises a broad range of projects to completion, from historically accurate restorations to appropriate repair and rehabilitation.

Staff

Danielle Euer, MSHP
With a degree in historic preservation, Danielle is skilled in research, documentation, data integration and writing. Joining MIA in 2001, she has been responsible for a range of projects including: Illinois HABS documentation, National Register nominations, architectural surveys, Historic Structure Reports and Historic Building Preservation Plans. Danielle is also experienced in performing condition assessments for buildings, is knowledge able in specific building materials and has been responsible for multiple window restoration projects.

Amy Gauen, MSHP, LEED AP B D+C
Amy is a project architect and LEED Accredited Professional B D+C with experience in the design of building additions, interior remodeling, façade restorations, accessibility upgrades, building surveys, and feasibility study reports. With degrees in both architecture and historic preservation, Amy has a demonstrated understanding of the unique issues and challenges of making improvements to meet contemporary user expectations while respecting the integrity of historic buildings. Amy has been with MIA since 2006.

Sarah Haas, Associate AIA
Sarah is an architectural designer at MIA since 2010; she has been responsible for building documentation and surveys and has assisted throughout the design process and created construction documents for projects including interior remodeling and restoration, window restoration and accessibility upgrades in historic buildings.

Isamu Kimura, AIA, LEED AP B D+C
Isamu is a project architect. With MIA since 2009, his experience includes the design of historic building additions, building envelope restoration, historic detailing, interior remodeling, and accessibility upgrades; as well as new construction design. He brings consideration for both historic and contemporary issues to design solutions. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Isamu integrates sustainable components into rehabilitation projects.

Heather Kneezel, AIA, LEED AP
Since joining MIA in 2004, Heather has been involved in numerous architectural preservation projects with a concentration on the sensitive integration of building systems into historic buildings. Heather also focuses on envelope and interior restoration, interior remodeling, and material assessment and research. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Heather incorporates environmentally sustainable concepts in the rehabilitation of existing buildings.
